TRS2 tool setter is used for non-contact tool breakage detection of solid centering cutting tools on various machine tools. The system uses ToolWise tool recognition electronic device to determine whether the tool exists by analyzing the frequency spectrum of the reflected light from the rotating tool. The system can ignore the random light spectrum formed by coolant and chips, eliminating the possibility of undetected damaged tools due to coolant blocking the light beam. This single device can be installed outside the machining area of the machine tool, saving valuable machining space.
